This is the story of the first Skyshed POD in Ohio to be ripped from the loving moores
of it's poddeck and transported across county lines, where it was shamelessly laid out
and displayed for all to see...

First we have to tear down the POD
002.jpg

Off comes the dome and all the Podcessories
003.jpg

Down come the walls and bays

004.jpg

Gee, I hope it doesn't rain while I'm gone
005.jpg
Waiting for my friend Dave G. to haul the dome in his truck
006.jpg

All loaded up and ready to hit the open road

What a beautiful site for a star party. (Darkest sky in our county.)

Time to get to work before our guests arrive

Tony from Toledo showed up early and is in awe of POD

Level and square makes the dome rotate easily

One last adjustment
014.jpg

Heave Ho, You can setup with 2 people, but it's easier with 3.
015.jpg

Thanks, Dave G. You're a real lifesaver!

016.jpg

Dorothy is actually better at this than I am.

017.jpg

But she let's me do the light work
even though it takes me longer

See, I'm still at it. The primary dome is done.

018.jpg

Now it's time for the secondary dome. Heave, Ho, again!

019.jpg

Hey, this isn't heavy at all !
020.jpg

Up and over the edge.
021.jpg

022.jpg

We arrived at the site early so we could have the POD setup when guests began to arrive. Looking back, it would
have been interesting to wait until more people arrived. Some out of town guests were there when we arrived  and
were quite thrilled to watch the setup and asked a thousand questions while we worked. They were genuinely
impressed with the ease of setup, the integrity of the POd components and the quality workmanship and attention to
details they noticed while watching us work. They were also quite impressed with the speed which the POD went
together....
And, believe me when I say I wasn't hurrying! (Young men hurry, old men savor each and every moment!)
