EVERYBODY had lots of questions about the POD. Hundreds of elbows rested on the the POD walls that day and I almost felt like a POD dealer as questions and answers were fired in rapid succession across the walls. The most common questions were concerning price, stability, security and longevity. I think (hope) I adressed everybodies concerns factually and to their satisfaction.

The meeting was a real blast. And there were some memorable moments. While drawing door prize tickets a young guest from out of town had his number drawn. He was about 12-13 years old. He jumped to his feet, ran to the front of the room, fell to his knees and threw his arms around an equatorially mounted 6" reflector we were offering as a prize. Then he turned and just smiled and beamed to the crowd in front of him. A collective cheer arose from the group of onlookers. We each shouted and clapped for him and his moment of glory, as each one of us remembered a similar day many years in our past.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I turned to the fellow next to me, swallowed the lump in my throat and said, "Excuse me, I must have gotten something in my eye."
"Yea, me too," he replied as he wiped away that faraway look and that little wet spot off his face.
