The
sky began clearing about midnight, so off I went to the Wellington
Fairgrounds to setup. Orion was high in the south west, so I
started there.
Orion
is my favorite constellation. Below is a wide angle shot. The sky was
quite crisp and clear. The temperature was only 38 degrees.
I
noticed that I could take much longer exposures without noise at this
ambient temperature.

Next I tried a telephoto shot of the belt area.

Then I shot a photo thru the scope at prime focus.

Before leaving I decided to grab a quick shot of the Pleiades.

And Andromeda.
