Pennsylvania is the ancestral home of many of our O'Neal clans in America.The first of our O'Neal family to live in Pennsylvania was Peter O'Neal and his wife Sarah Sparks.After the Revolutionary War, Peter left Maryland and removed to Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He probably followed or traveled with the Sparks and McDaniels families, who were also from Frederick County, Maryland. Sarah Sparks (his future wife) probably traveled with her brothers, Solomon, James, and Joseph Sparks, who were all in Bedford County during the Revolutionary War and were soldiers. Peter owned over 650 acres of land in Bedford County at one time
