Howdy....I'm just a down to Earth wannabe a
cowboy type of guy trying to make an honest living in a world gone sort
of awry. I'm an Amateur Radio Operator, N8NCK, a SKYWARN Spotter for the
National Weather Service, an Emergency Responder for the American Red Cross,
a County Emergency Management Agency Volunteer and an Amateur Astronomer.
When I'm not playing with the aforementioned hobbies, I'm working on the
computer or out taking photos.
In 1986 I began using computers as part of my job in a local Steel company as a Total Quality Systems Coordinator. I took computer classes to bring me up to speed and was soon "hacking" with the best of the computer geeks. With my Photographic and artistic background I soon realized that there was much more to computers than glorified word processors and spreadsheet generators. I fell in love with the multimedia applications. My Amateur Radio background led me into the communications end of computers and soon I was using twisted pairs and radio waves to talk to computers all over my local calling area. And then, lo and behold, there came the internet.
Like a kid in a Candy Store with my hand in the cookie jar is the only way I can describe my reaction to the internet and all it's myriad little worlds, idiosyncracies and realities. And so here we are today, just having a good old time surfing the web and helping others get on and helping them profit from being on. Life is good. I'm having a ball....what else is there?

Hello. I also have been bitten by the computer
bug. I've been attending computer classes for several months now and am
really beginning to get into this internet stuff. I particularly enjoy
going out and taking photos and scanning them into the computer and using
the graphics programs to put them into presentable formats. I don't have
to buy postcards, birthday cards, business cards, etc any more. I can make
my own.

I enjoy Astrology and like surfing the Web and finding new astrological links. Maybe I'll start an astrology page if there's enough interest. !!! GO PISCES !!!
I also work in a steel company. That's right,
I'm a Steelworker...and yes, it is hard work !!!
Another interest is reading. Nothing beats
cuddling up in front of the fireplace with a good romance novel or two.
