TOGA NEWS Volume III, Issue 1, January, 2003

• We picked up 36 new members this year, all of who contributed knowledge to our O'Neal Family Database.

• We started The O'Neal Genealogy Association Mail List at Rootsweb. The mail list is working well and assists us in sharing and disseminating information to all the members of our group

• We successfully restored the James O'Neal Cemetery, assuring it will be there for our descendants for many years to come.

• He held our First TOGA Expedition. Members traveled to Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia and returned with a wealth of new information as well as documentation of existing information.

• We've continued to add content to the web site. Thanks to member's submissions of Photos and Data, we now have 400 pages and 800 photos on the web site.

I must give a special thank you to Bev Crowe and Kenneth O'Neal for the exemplary effort they have shown this past year in spearheading projects. Without their special skills and talents and ambition to follow a project to fruition, we'd have been hard pressed to complete as much as we did this past year. And last, but not least, I must thank my Dear wife, Dorothy, who put up with my long hours at the keyboard, frequent trips and long hours to libraries, courthouses and cemeteries, etc.
