This month marks the six month anniversary of The O'Neal Genealogy Association.  When Bev and Ken and I decided to give this a shot last summer we really didn't have any idea what to expect. We opened the doors in September and have accomplished a lot since then. 

In November TOGA Member Jerry Miller found the James O'Neal Cemetery 
<http://www.onealwebsite.com/jocem.htm> and Member Kenneth O'Neal is leading the restoration project to return the cemetery back to it's former glory.
Ken has drummed up $100.oo in donations and has a couple of volunteers for the work party, but we're going to need more help to complete this project in a fashion that shows the respect we feel for our ancestors. Member Bev Crowe had researched and written an excellent biography of Bennet O'Neal. <http://www.onealwebsite.com/benobio.htm>
She also located the will of Peter Lemare mentioned in this issue.
Bev is also busy searching Washington State for the descendants of Hezekiah O'Neal. We recently learned from new member Marge Stegeman that Hezekiah's son, Joseph left Pa for Washington.

We have 20 members now and are picking up new members at the rate of about 3 per month.  We're also starting to see members joining our group who are not descendants of our Jo (John) O'Neale. I think this is great. By opening the doors to other researchers we can begin sharing information that we normally find in our research and discard because it doesn't fit our line. By knowing who these other researchers are we can start sending them info and vice versa.
