NEW TOGA MAIL LIST

I'm pleased to announce that Rootsweb has granted the members of The O'Neal Genealogy Association use of their Mail List service.

WHAT IS A MAIL LIST?
A mailing list is a way of forwarding messages to others who are interested in the same genealogical research as you. You send your message to the list and it is sent to everyone who has subscribed to that list. And everything that anyone else sends to the list will be sent to you. It is a great way to find others who are researching in the same area or are researching the same surname.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE LIST?
The O'Neal Genealogy Association Mail List has been designated by the Rootsweb Administration Team for the use of  our TOGA researchers and members. This List will provide a forum for us to communicate and share new genealogy information  It also provides a forum for members to pose questions to our researchers.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO USE THIS SERVICE?
In order to access the mail message features you will need to subscribe to the mail list. Then when someone posts a message, it will be sent to your mailbox.
When you post a message it will be mailed to other members who subscribe to the list. To Subscribe to the mail list, follow these easy steps.
Send an email to ONEAL-GENEALOGY-ASSOCIATION-L-request@rootsweb.com. In the message area of your message, simply type the word subscribe

MORE ABOUT THE MAIL LIST

This service is free. This service is also virus-free. No graphics, attachments or viruses can be passed through this list. Only text files are permitted and are virus scanned by Rootsweb servers before being mailed to your mailbox.

OTHER FEATURES OF THE LIST

The mail list is archived on Rootsweb servers and is searchable. You can browse the archives and read past messages posted by our members by clicking on this link. <http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/ONEAL-GENEALOGY-ASSOCIATION/> You do not need to subscribe to read the archives, but you must subscribe to receive and send email messages.

I'd like to encourage all our members to sign up for this valuable service. Who knows, you might get a message pertaining to one of your own long lost relatives. If you have further questions and/or concerns, feel free to email me for further information. (johnoneal@onealwebsite.com)
