George Washington Morgart (son of A.J. Morgart & Rebecca O'Neal), buried Ray's Hill Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Breezewood, Bedford Co., Pennsylvania.
BEDFORD GAZETTE, Bedford, Pa. - Friday, May 10, 1895
EVERETT EVENTS - On Sunday this community was shocked to learn of
the death of George W. Morgart, who lives about three miles below Everett.
On Thursday, Mr. Morgart rode all day on horseback. He came home not feeling
well; grew rapidly worse, and on Sunday (May 5, 1895) about eleven o'clock
he breathed his last, after suffering intense agony from inflammation of
the bowels. Mr. Morgart was liked by all who knew him; he was a kind-hearted
man, ready to assist any one in distress. He was an ideal neighbor and
his presence will be missed by many. He was buried on Tuesday evening in
the Morgart burying ground. The funeral services at the house were conducted
by Rev. J. A. Wood, Jr., of the M. E. church, and the services at the grave
were in charge of Everett Castle Knights of the Golden Eagle, of which
order Mr. Morgart was a member. He was aged 45 years, eight months and
five days.
He leaves to survive him a wife, four children, a mother, two brothers
and four sisters. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends.
Obituary notice from Frederick D. Royer.
