A Son of The American Revolution

My father's second daughter by his second marriage was Amanda, who married Simpson Booker, of Wilkes county.  They had two children, Sallie, married to
Dr. Walton, of Danburg, Wilkes county; Edgar who died in infancy.

The third daughter of this marriage was Fannie, who married Jeremiah Hones, of Thomson, Georgia.  Their children are Laura, James, Jerry Lou, Jody, Lena, William, Mattie Jean, Susie Hull.

I come next in the order of children.  I was married to Miss Martha Pierce Palmer, of Richmond county.  Our children are Ina, married to Samuel A. Wootten, of Wilkes county; Sarah Amanda, who married T.V. Jones of Harlem, Georgia; Carrie Bell, not married; Martha, married to Mr. M.W. Dunn, of Thomson; Lillian, who married John Bradshaw, of McDuffie county, since deceased; Iris, who married Richard Stephens, of Columbia, South Carolina; Kate, married to Olvin Smith, of Columbia county; Levin Palmer, who took to wife Miss Mary Belle Fuller, of Thomson; and Marvin llewellin, who has for wife Miss Ethel Haley, of Palmetto, Florida.

I had only one brother, whose name was Augustus.  His children are: B.A. Neal, married to Miss Ruth Harris, of Texas; Gorgon, who married Miss Doolittle, of Atlanta; Heidt, who married Miss Wynn, of Wilkes county; Samuel, whose wife was Mrs. Brown, of Alabama; Lula, who married Wright Turner, of Wilkes county, and Rebecca, who is the second wife of Wright Turner.

Besides the above named members of our family, there was a brother, Basil, who died at about three years of age. My half brother, John, left a son, James B. Neal, whose descendants are: Lizzie, who married George Stovall; Emma, who married a Mr. Jones, of Alabama; Pallie, who married Mr. Sankey, of Atlanta; Kate, who married Edward Wilson, of Thomson; Minnie, who married James Barnes, of Thomson; John Neal, who married Miss Ophelia Hardaway; Richard Neal, who never
married; J. Truman Neal, who married Miss Bush, of Thoson; Thomas, who married Miss Ray, of Raytown; Gladstone, who married Miss Neison, of Warrenton.

Richard Neal was another son of the John Neal mentioned above.  His descendants are as follows: J.H. Neal, who married Miss Boyd, formerly of Columbia County; R.E. Neal, who married Miss Fortson, of Wilkes County; James, who died in early life."
