After getting news
from John R about how dim
the Comet was from
Fortunately, Charlemont
has a wonderful southern horizon. See the photos below showing the
horizon
southeast………………………………………………………………………..then southwest.
While setting up I saw
some wildlife and took a couple of shots. It certainly was peaceful
there.

About 11:30pm a local
farmer saw me and stopped to see if I was ok or needed help. He really
enjoyed seeing Saturn
and Mars and the Moon,
close-up for the first time.
Like John R. said, the
comet was really dim. Combine that with the fact that the Moon was
quite close by and the comet
was only about ten
degrees from the horizon and I’m surprised I got a shot at all. But
here it is………
