Ancestors Page
We arrived to find the festivities in full swing. Since this was our first time there, we didn't know anybody, except my cousin Kenneth O'Neal. He took us around and introduced us to everybody. It seemed that like within ten minutes I had known everyone there for years.
The auction was fun and Dorothy came away with some treasures. The food was great, but I was too excited to eat. Ken had his genealogy there and so did Clifford O'Neal and Glenn Nave. We quickly busied ourselves comparing notes and stories about our great finds, etc.
Time seemed to just fly by.
Before long we Ken & I were off with our digital cameras to capture the Old Frame Church and the numerous headstones in the cemetery across the street.

We decided to meet back at the cemetery next month and do a complete inventory of the stones there. In addition to the numerous O'Neal's there were many other relatives resting here. Names like Steckman, Nave, Deremer, Fletcher, Nycum, Snyder and others too numerous to mention here filled this final resting place.
Before departing the site I posed with the other genealogists for a group photo.

From here we leftand drove about 1/2 mile up
the road to the Peter O'Neal Cemetery.
