Fisher is an awesome place to see, wether it be from the air
conditioned museum or outdoors in the sweltering heat. As you can see
from the images below, many of the earthworks remain in place exactly
as they were during the Great Rebellion 140 some odd years ago. While visiting, we met Mr. Bob Cooke, who took us on a privat tour in the the back of the museum and showed us artifacts of Rose's. He was very knowledgeable about Rose and we chatted for a couple of hours. Bob provided us with a transcription of Rose's address book and has promised to send us her diary in the future as well. Thanks, Bob. While at the museum we watched a severe thunderstorm swell up in the southwest. Later that evening it ripped through Wilmington, yet another vestige of Hurricane Charlie, no doubt. |
