The Latta Plantation is located in Latta
Plantation State Park on the edge of Charlotte, North Carolina. The
house was closed for renovations so our photos are restricted to the
outbuildings and grounds. This house was typical of plantations of the Civil War era. The kitchen, well house, wash house, etc were all located outside the main home. The chicken coop is a newer addition to the farm. The chickens ran loose in the past. |
